curnowc Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 Proceedings of the Board of Trustees Policy Review Committee Elementary District No. 2, Yellowstone County High School District No. 2, Yellowstone County Billings, Montana September 5, 2008 Call to Order The Policy Review Committee met on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 12:00 PM at the Lincoln Center, 415 North 30th Street, Billings, Montana. The meeting was chaired by Katharin Kelker. Those present included: Trustees Katharin Kelker, Joel Guthals and Mary Jo Fox. Also present were Leo Hudetz, Clerk, Dan Martin, Director of Human Resources and Jeff Greenfield, BEA representative. Policy 4311 – Personnel Complaints From The Public Chair Kelker reviewed Policy 4311 that she had written in order to handle job performance complaints. Dan Martin presented a revised version of the policy. After discussion it was decided that Trustee Guthals would revise the policy and bring it back to the next meeting for further discussion. Policy 1700 – Uniform Complaint Procedure Leo Hudetz reviewed suggested changes to Policy 1700. It was recommended that this policy move forward to the Board when Policy 4311 is completed. Policy 5000 Series – Human Resources The committee reviewed the rough drafts provided by Dan Martin. It was noted that the recently revised Policy 5007 (Alcohol, Tobacco and Drug-Free Workplace) not be changed. Katharin Kelker suggested that due to the complexity of Policy 5014, 5120, 5210, 5501 we need to look at these policies in closer detail at the next meeting. Minutes Mary Jo Fox moved to approve the minutes of the August 6, 2008 Policy Review Committee meeting. Joel Guthals seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
