Public Communication –

Terri Porisch, an extended studies teacher at Arrowhead School introduced Ben Carroll to the members. Ben then did a power point presentation of a school that his extended studies class did from their perspective. Safety, Technology and the environment were the main focus of the design. Ben did say that he did like the design the Cottonwood Task Force came up with because it wasn’t like a big box.

John Eisen passed out a Review Draft that is the total culmination of the work of the Cottonwood Task Force. He will also e-mail this draft out as an attachment to all members. John asked that all members go through this draft and respond to him by Monday, April 6th with comments and changes so a final draft can be given to the Board as soon as possible.

David touched a bit on a bond issue for the 3 schools that are currently working with Task Forces.

There was also a discussion on the possibility of moving the Cottonwood building site from the northwest corner to the southwest corner of the property. This would result in a considerable savings in the site development fees. David said he would be willing to talk to the city building department in this regard.

It was highly recommended by Kathy Olson that all members attend the Town Hall Meeting being held in the Board Room at Lincoln Center on April 16 - (Kathy will verify that date for everyone). The public is invited to this meeting so that the Board can hear any issues of concern regarding all three elementary Task Forces.

David thanked John and Terry for the work they did bringing the members ideas to the current design. Kathy Olson thanked the members for their time and effort for this Task Force.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:45.
