Diane Blevins Posted February 26, 2010 Report Share Posted February 26, 2010 Proceedings of the Board of Trustees District No. 2, Yellowstone County High School District No. 2, Yellowstone County Billings, Montana February 18, 2010 CALL TO ORDER The Trustee Screening Committee of the Board of Trustees of School District No. 2, Yellowstone County, Montana, and High School District, Yellowstone County, Montana, was duly held at The Lincoln Center, 415 North 30th Street, Billings, Montana, February 18, 2010, at 9:45 a.m. Members present included Trustees Peter Gesuale, Barbara Bryan, and District Clerk Leo Hudetz. REVIEW APPLICATION RECEIVED FOR THE TRUSTEE VACANCY IN ZONE 1 District Clerk Leo Hudetz reported the candidate meets the criteria as he resides in Zone 1 and has for a few years. His children attend Ponderosa Elementary where he is involved. The Board has until March 15th to select a candidate to fill the vacancy in Zone 1 or the County Superintendent would select a candidate. Also, incumbent Trustees and other interested citizens have until March 25th to file for the May 4th election for their zone. If the committee selects this candidate, he/she would have to run for the May 4th election date. Trustee Gesuale stated he believed this candidate must be willing to put in the time to serve on the Board. Trustee Bryan agreed. DECIDE ON INTERVIEW SCHEDULE It was decided the candidate would be interviewed on February 22nd at noon. If a committee recommendation was to be given to the Board to fill the vacancy with this candidate, the recommendation could be approved at the March 6th meeting.
