coen Posted June 15, 2012 Report Share Posted June 15, 2012 Proceedings of the Board of Trustees District No. 2, Yellowstone County High School District No. 2, Yellowstone County Billings, Montana May 21, 2012 Call to Order The Special Board Meeting of the Board of Trustees of School District No. 2, Yellowstone County and High School District No. 2, Yellowstone County, Montana was duly held at the Lincoln Center, Billings, Montana on May 21, 2012. Roll Call Chair Stroebe called the meeting to order at 5 p.m. Trustees present included: Travis Smith, Teresa Stroebe, Pam Ellis, Allen Halter, Greta Besch Moen, Travis Kemp, Connie Wardell, Kathy Aragon, Lindy Graves; Superintendent Jack Copps, Clerk Leo Hudetz, Attorneys Jeff Weldon and Geoffrey Keller, administrators Lew Anderson, Mike Dilley. Pledge of Allegiance was said. Call to the Public None at this time. LITIGATION STRATEGY Trustee Halter made a motion to go into executive session. Trustee Moen seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the board adjourned to room 213. The board returned from executive session at 5:40. Trustee Ellis made the following motion with a second by Trustee Graves: I move to authorize the payment of $15,000 for the purpose of settling the claim by the Estate of Cherice Moralez against Billings High School District No. 2, which amount is the District’s insurance deductible, and to enter into a no-fault settlement agreement. Trustees Smith, Stroebe, Ellis, Halter, Moen, Kemp, Wardell and Aragon voted in favor of the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
