Twenty-Year School Facilities Planning Committee

Billings Public Schools

6:30 PM, June 22, 2004

 

The following is the agenda for the next meeting. All committee members are asked to make a written list of issues or comments in response to each agenda item and bring this list to the next meeting for discussion. This is going to be a working meeting where we can really get focused to the task before us.

 

Purpose of This Meeting: To reach a consensus on the starting point for this committee.

 

1. What do we want to accomplish by our work on this committee?

Make a list and be specific.

 

2. What are our shared beliefs regarding our schools?

For example, “high schools are overcrowded”, etc. Make a list that applies to you personally and what your perception of what applies to the Billings community as a whole; be specific.

 

3. What were the community objections to the 2004 high school bond vote?

Make a list and be specific.

 

4. What are the alternatives that you see for addressing the high school problems?

Make a list and be specific.
