gonzalesk Posted December 16, 2005 Report Share Posted December 16, 2005 BILLINGS PUBLIC SCHOOLS BOARD AGENDA ITEM Board of Trustees Meeting Business Committee Education Committee School/Community Committee Item Title Hawthorne Street Attendance Area Prepared by: Mary Jo Fox Executive Summary and Suggested Action: When the Billings Public School District set boundaries, Hawthorne Street in Billings Heights had not been completed. Since that time completion of Hawthorne has occurred and Hawthorne Street ends with a cul-de-sac with no opening to a street that would be within easy access to Bitterroot School. There are about six homes in the cul-de-sac. Construction in the cul-de-sac is complete. Some of families living in this cul-de-sac area attend Eagle Cliffs School via the out of area permission form procedure while others are in the Eagle Cliffs district. It is recommended that the cul-de-sac at the end of Hawthorne be officially designated as an Eagle Cliff attendance area.
