June 21, 2006

 

Call to Order

 

The Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of School District No. 2, Yellowstone County, Montana, and High School District, Yellowstone County, Montana, was duly held at The Lincoln Center, 415 North 30th Street, Billings, Montana, June 21, 2006, at 5:15 p.m.

 

Those present included: Trustees Dawn Achten, Katharin Kelker, Joel Guthals, Mary Jo Fox, Malcolm Goodrich, District Clerk Leo Hudetz, Superintendent Rodney Svee, and Associate Superintendent Jack Copps. Trustees Sandra Mossman, Judy Johnson, Dale Getz, and Rachel Stagg were absent.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

 

Dan Martin addressed the Board stating the individual, that the administration recommended termination of employment, was unable to attend the meeting. Although the individual did not ask for an extension, Dan felt his privacy should be protected.

 

Chair Goodrich stated he would now close the meeting for the purpose of holding a discussion that relates to a matter of individual privacy where it has been determined that the demands of individual privacy clearly exceed the merits of public disclosure.

 

The board re-opened the meeting to the public at 6:35 p.m.

 

 

Joel Guthals motioned and Kathy Kelker seconded.

 

Motion was that The Board of Trustees affirms the recommendation by Superintendent Svee to terminate the individual from employment with the School District.

 

Those voting in favor for the motion were Joe Guthals, Katharin Kelker, Mary Jo Fox, Malcom Goodrich, Leo Hudetz, Jack Copps, Rodney Svee, and Dawn Achten. The vote was unanimous.

 

As there was no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:40.
